History
Red- a very large man, with a very large hammer. Red epitomes the quote “speak softly and carry a big stick”. Red has always been a big man and he always used weapons that would take two people to use. Red grew attached to the two handed warhammer because for his love of crushing and smashing things. At a young age, he worked with his father and brothers in a mine. He was nick named “swingin’ shorty” by the other miners by the way he used a hammer to break at the rock. Many years in a mines formed the once small Red into a hulking man that he is now. When the mine emptied Red and his family was forced to find other work. His brothers found jobs working as guards and blacksmiths or by joining the military. Red, however, did not look for a job. Instead, he took to the city streets in search of fame. He believed that with his size, he could land a spot with a group of adventurers. He was angered when the many groups rejected him. They called him “simple minded” and “talentless”. Red would show how wrong they were. When he was wandering about outside the city, he saw a group of bandits seize a convoy, only to have a group of men beat back the bandits. Red noticed that the group defending the convoy was the same group of adventurers that rejected him in the city. Red helped beat the men and seize the convoy. That was when Red realized his profession. He decided that he would be a lone bandit, and on his first attack, would be where he got his hammer.
His hammer originated from the blacksmith of a Paladin society. It was for the Paladin Uther Lightbringer, who recently cracked his old one. Red sacked the man delivering the hammer. At first, he did not realized he was carrying a warhammer. When he discovered it, he seized the hammer and claimed it his. The paladin society tried to retrieve the hammer from Red and sent a warrior out to get it. Red killed the paladin, which has now made him a marked man by the Paladin society. They then sent a search party of 10 men to find Red, retrieve the hammer, and avenge the death of their fallen comrade. They encountered Red while he raiding a convoy an attacked him. With the power of the hammer at Red’s disposal, he defeated the party with relative ease. He was then branded an outlaw and a deviant, and placed a reward on Red’s head. While he still makes he living off raiding convoys, Red must move from town to town to avoid being located and captured.
