Assuming the role of another person, be that person real or of pure imagination, is something the human race has longed for throughout its existence. Role-playing games spawned from this desire, allowing the power of the human imagination to sweep us away into fantastic worlds with fantastic people, or bleak worlds on the brink of total destruction.
